Filtered away from Pakistan and Wolfram like whoa; voice

What should one take into consideration when planning a date? What would usually be expected, and what is possible in this place?

...I... [There's a short pause, and his voice is a bit stronger when he speaks again, but still trmbling slightly.] ...for a first date.

Poland? [And now there clearly is some worry in it.] Where are you? Can we talk for a moment?

[//Filter]

Has someone seen Minsk as of lately?

[FML, FML, FML--]

[He manages to sound as cheerful as ever, even if he can't quite look it without a moment to prepare himself.] Huh? I'm just like, avoiding you messing around in the kitchen. You know we can always talk, what's up? D'you like, want me to come back to the room to talk?

[Strikes are just in his head.]

[Voice]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[Even more worried now, what is wrong, he has to fix it...]

I can come down to the kitchen, if you are in the middle of making something.

[Voice]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, it's cool, I'm like, almost done. I can totally bring it up, if you want.

[Voice]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be in our room... I didn't think that you-

What is it?

[Voice]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh--America showed me this really cool thing with like, meat and bread and cheese and vegetables and all, and I've totally been trying to improve on the recipe! You have to check it out, see what you think~

[That's right, America--you might have Westernized him a little, but he's TTLY POLONIZING UR FOOD!]

[Voice]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[...because one day America's capital will be Warsaw.]

I'd love to! Do you have one of America's version, too, so I can compare?

[Voice]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[For sure, dude, for sure~]

[He's forgetting to sulk, because he's dorkily excited about this new pet project]

Ummmm, no, but I can totes get you one from the dining room on the way up! See you in a sec, okay?

[Voice]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure, I'll be here.

[And he'll have the dishes out and on the table, everything neat for dinner.]

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[And he'll be upstairs in a few minutes, carrying a large tray with two Polish-burgers, a ton of fries, bottles of ketchup and mustard and vinegar, various spices for him to try sprinkling on the fries, and a plate to the side with an American-style burger and fries. The basic difference between America's version and Poland's version is that Poland's uses higher-quality beef, is on handmade rye bread, and the cheese appears to have actually come from nature, as opposed to whatever horrid abyss American cheese comes from. He also made soup, because it's winter, and he was really just trying to kill time in the kitchen.]

Okay~ Like, let's bless it while it's still hot!

[identity profile] idkmybfftony.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh... I'm still trying to figure that out, as well... England is totallly useless when it comes to advice!

Oh! Lithuania, I had to talk to you about something...

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It looks wonderful, Poland.

[Helping to move the dishes from the tray to the table. ...looking at the American burger.]

...What is that made of?

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[Poland shrugs]

Like, I dunno, I totally didn't cross-examine him on it. The middle part's beef, and the outside's... some kind of bread. There's like, cheese on it, too! ...In theory.

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Whom do you want to take on a date? ...Why? He's quite old and has a lot of history with France, shouldn't he know?

[Pauses, his expression changing to a mix of mild curiosity and surprise.] About what?

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
...It doesn't really look like cheese.

[Examines it!] And it smells a bit strange.

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I totally know. It's like, kinda sketchy, isn't it? I mean, I guess it's okay as part of the whole, but... Yeah, I totes used different cheese on my version.

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[Really wonders if he should try it... America isn't here so he wouldn't know, right? But maybe it doesn't taste like it looks... Anyway he'll try Poland's first.]

It's good... but what about a bit more lettuce?

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... [NOM] ...Yeah, like, maybe.

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
The spices are really good. Are those all spices that we know?

[Stares at the fries.]

What are they?

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[Poland nods cheerfully, then grabs a few fries and noms on them]

They're like, some root vegetable from America's place, sliced and fried in oil! He totally had them with like, a ton of salt and that red sauce over there, but I think they taste good with salt and vinegar and a little rosemary~

[OOC: They so do. Argh, now I'm hungry!]

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd like to try both.

[takes some and tries the American way, then some more and the Polish way.]

How were they made? And from what?

[Housewife!mode.]

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, America like, called the vegetable a "potato"? So that's totally what I asked the pantry for. Then I like, sliced it into strips like that, and fried them in oil in a pan on the stovetop. I think America did it differently--he like, took them out of a bag in the "freezer" and baked them in the oven.

[Action]

[identity profile] watchful-knight.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yours taste better.

[He eats some more and then stops, staring down at them. Uh, there was something that he wanted to ask... Blush!]

[Action]

[identity profile] reckless-eagle.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[Poland has a very short attention span, and has by this time completely forgotten about any awkward conversations he'd been hoping to avoid.]

Like, what's up? You're all blushing all of a sudden.

[identity profile] helena-campbell.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
A date? I think you can do a lot of stuff here. The Mansion gives us a ton of stuff.

[identity profile] demiurgos-girl.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
A date with who? [She has never been so wrong in her life. Poor Poland.]
