It depends on the social class and the age, but if they are adult nobles, the male will usually gift the woman something, and she'll give something back in return.

[Poland had almost stopped blushing, but now it's definitely back.]

L-Liet... Are you asking me to, um...?

[H-He kind of doesn't want to say it, because it would be so embarrassing if he'd somehow gotten the wrong idea.]

[Going down on one knee, kneeling in front of Poland, still holding the other boy's hands.]

Totally. Absolutely. Ohmigod, Liet, for sure!

[Hugging Poland back, finally allowing himself to shake slightly, the tension suddenly dissolving. He's still not completely sure about this, but he wants to stay with Poland forever, and with what Poland seems to feel for him and what he starts to realize in himself more and more, and with what he has heard about their future, it seems to be the right course of action. It surely can't be bad.]

We should have a little formal ceremony... if you don't mind our friends knowing about it?

No. I've like, been trying, but he keeps blowing me off, which is MAJORLY annoying! I'm like, just glad you walked in and stopped him when you did. Otherwise, things could have gotten totally...
