[Lithuania is sitting on the windowsill, looking outside. He's holding the communicator in his hands, looking down at it with distant eyes.]

Sometimes I think that the greatest ability of humans, right after compassion, is the ability to conceive children.

[There's a little pause, as if the next words were an afterthought.] I sometimes have to wonder how it is to know that you are able to found a family like that.

Oh... um, 'kays! I'll like, be there soon.

[By the time he gets there, though, he can't quite keep up the slightly-too-bright smile, and hesitates when he's almost there, peering shyly out from behind a tree as if he's debating whether or not to actually go into the clearing.]

[Lithuani arrives a bit later than Poland. he feels the other nation's presence, somehow, they have been too close around each other for too long to not feel that.

But he acts as if he didn't know that Poland is there, kneeling down and starting to pick strawberries, waiting for Poland to wrok up his nerve and come out.]

[Okay. Poland can do this. Deep breath, deep breath, deep breath, and smile. "I'm fine, see, so don't worry about it!"]

[He steps out from behind the tree, still smiling brightly even though he stays over near the treeline.]

Hey! You like, wanted to see me and junk?

[Offers him a handful of strawberries, holding it out towards Poland.]

WOuld you like some?

[Grins, a bit more naturally]

For sure! [Comes closer, taking the strawberries out of Liet's hand and nomming on them. ~~Like a horse who's offered a handful of oats, man. Maybe he hangs out with them too much.~~]

[Smiles back at Poland and then, after a little while, he leans forward to kiss the other nation's forehead.]

[Swallows the last strawberry, then smiles back up at Liet, a little bit shy but happy. Liet made a good choice, to be so affectionate to him--it's reassuring, lets him know that Liet isn't regretting the decision to be with him because of this. That alone has calmed Poland down somewhat already.]

[Need a cherry on top of this? Lithuania pulls back a bit to look Poland in the eye, smiling calmly, happily, but with a serious undertone.]

You know that I love you, and always will?

[God, Liet, you're too good to him. You're going to spoil him even more than he already is ♥]

[He blushes, pulling Liet into a close hug and pressing his face into the taller nation's neck]

T-Totally!

[He returns the hug, nuzzling the side of Poland's head.]

Please promise me that you will never forget that.

[Nods softly, tangling his fingers into the back of Liet's shirt.]

'Kay. I-I promise ♥ You, too, 'kays? You like, can't forget that I love you, too!

I won't, never. [He reaches around, under Poland's chin, to tilt his head up and press a soft, chaste kiss to the other nation's lips.]

[Poland is still not used to that, and gets a little tense at first, then relaxes into the kiss, heart still pounding.]

[It is still far from anything remotely scandalous by modern standards, about as innocent as a kiss can get, but it doesn't need to be more for butterflies to fill Lithuania's stomach until he thinks that it might burst from it.

When they break away for air, he softly nuzzles Poland's hair with his nose.] I would never regret being with you. [That is what he came down here for, after all. To tell Poland this.]

...Even though I can't... you know, like... give you a family?

[He laughs softly, a comforting, only barely amused sound.] Wouldn't that be my fault just as much as yours?

...Is it like, really okay with you?

I chose you, and I don't regret it. Knowing fully well that we [are of the same sex/gender because to him there is no difference but akljsdhfjkasdhakj he can't say that.] ...couldn't be blessed with children of our own... But most nations aren't, even if onse of them is female.

[Y'know, the only reason for Greece and Egypt is that Rome was, well, Rome. Very active and stuff.]

[He tries to smile, and mostly manages]

...I like, guess that's true. Still... [Still, it would be nice. It's important to his people, so it feels important to him, so it's sad to know they can't have that.]

We have our people... I guess that is more children than any human would ever have.

[There's no point in pointing out that it's not the same, because they both know that. Poland laces his fingers in between Liet's, gently.]

...And we like, have each other, too.

Which is more than I could ever ask for. [He's being sappy, he knows it. And he doesn't mind. It's true.]

[Still holding Liet's hands, he leans against his shoulder]

...You're like, almost too sweet sometimes. You know that? [Cuddle!]

Then we can give each other a toothache. [Shifts a bit so Poland can rest his head at his shoulder more comfortably.]

You'll like, rot out all my teeth, and the surgeon will have to come pull them, and I'll be a toothless old man, like, centuries before my time. It'll be totally uncute!

[Laughs a little]
