A young man arrived here yesterday and offered insult to my spouse. I need to have his name from a reliable source. I also need to know if he is of honor [he doubts this, but who knows] and can be challenged, or not. [In which case hanging would be the most fitting action. If they guy's master ever shows up, Lithuania will just pay him out. If.]

He seems to be of no education and manners, his way of talking reminds of a common soldier; of rather heavy built, with short brown hair. He seems to be from a place called "Ohio".

Lithuania is not normally one to get all revenge-y and agressive, not at all, but 1) from what he has heard and seen in the mansion so far, his and Poland's marriage is of the same standing as every other marriage would be, and as such he has every right that a husband has, and his and his spouse's honor is just as insulted as a heterosexual couple's honor would be. And yes, this means considering Poland a woman in a way, but with Poland having acted the female part in their wedding and wedding night, and, well, who wears the dresses?... That does not mean that he isn't aware of Poland's sex or gender or would normally consider him his wife. But when it is about sexuality (and sexuality is a big part of a woman's honor), he gets a lot more emotional and sharper than usual, due to what has happened before in this place.

And 2) he gets some vibes from Karofsky that he does not like at all, and though he cannot place it, they speak of future trouble. Better to clear up certain things now.

Yes, honor is a big deal to him. As is the safety of his husband.

ALSO his reaction is a lot about medieval social standing. A nation's rank compares to that of high nobility, riding a horse to war and being very close to the ruler of their country. Karofsky acts a lot like a third son from a lesser noble family or some other family of a social rank that is only this much away from peasantry, the kind of son that won't inherit anything and for some reason couldn't make it into a monastery. Those guys are usually trouble, especially for girls since they cannot expect to find a wife... And Lithuania and Poland have had discussions about that before (which resulted in Poland only being allowed to wear dresses outside their room when Lithuania is there). And a difference in social standing means a difference in how an insult to the honor of a wife would be treated.

...Also hanging. Lithuania as a person just prefers that a lot over breaking someone on the wheel or other more time consuming and painful ways of killing someone. And with a social difference like that, it would be appropriate.]

[Does someone want to talk him out of wanting to kill a guy over this?]

[Poland wraps his arms around Liet and lays his head on his shoulder]

[In his rather limited Lithuanian:] ...Hey. Um. You okay?

[He doesn't want him to be unhappy. It's almost Christmas :<]

[Turns around slightly and wraps his arms back around Poland, just holding him.] I'm fine, don't worry.

You're lying.

[Liet doesn't often get this angry, and it worries Poland. The blond leans against him, just to assure him of his presence.]

...It was like, just words, Liet. He didn't hurt me.

[And if he tried, Poland is pretty sure he could take him!]

[Normally, Lithuania would trust in his husband's strength. But this... is different. This guy is not as ...evil as the Major was, not the "evil overlord muhaha I'll destroy the world" kind (though Lithuania might not understand the reference |D). No. He is not "evil". And that is even more worriesome, because nobody has more potential than a person like the new arrival seems to be; closeminded, nasty, the empathic abilities and natural morals of a slug.]

No, he didn't. [If, there would have been no talk.]

[Poland holds him gently, leaning in to kiss his neck.]

It's like, Christmas Eve, babe. Stop thinking about this and come help me with dinner?

[He'll even do ~~some of~~ his share of the work; Christmas Eve dinner is a really big deal, after all.]

[He leans back against Poland for a moment, lightly, trying to go back to his Christmas spirit and maybe pick up some of Poland's.]

[Well, Poland's got spirit enough for himself and whoever else needs it. Always. He smiles, giving Liet a little squeeze.]

Looking good! Totally, like, healthy and stuff. I've got him in the sink, and he's totes just chilling there.

[He can kill it and bone it when they go down to the kitchen--he wants it to be as fresh as it possibly can be.]

I'm glad that we could get a good one here. With how the mansion works, I wouldn't have put it behind it to get us into some strange other place for Christmas where we couldn't have gotten one.

[He's ...not really getting bette,r he isn't good at pushing worries aside, but he is really trying.]

She's totally not the type to believe in anything greater than herself. [Yeah, still not the Queen's biggest fan.] Help me carry the carp downstairs so we can get started cooking!

[Who is? Liet at least is of exactly the same opinion as Poland there.

And now he gets up, a bit reluctantly because sitting there like that is really comfortable, and goes to fetch the carp.]

[As tends to happen when you carry a live fish in water down four flights of stairs, yes. When they get to the kitchen, Poland leads Liet over to the nearest counter to set it down, laughing a little as he gets splashed again.]

At this rate, we should go swimming afterwards.

[Poland laughs, examining the soaked front of his shirt]

I will if you will~

Sure! [He grins and starts to search for the correct knives.] I'm sure the pool won't be crowded today.

[Another laugh, as he fetches a cutting board and starts bringing out pots and pans and fresh grains and vegetables.]

That's for sure! But we can like, have it to ourselves if no one else is there~

[He really prefers it that way. Being in the pool with a female would be really indecent with everyone being naked, or about naked.

...he still doesn't really trust underwear. Confining your privates like that cannot be healthy.]

Maybe we should try going there at night at one point.

[Smiles at Poland, and then looks at the carp thoughtfully.] Ivanova is coming... did you invite anyone else?

Ummmm, maybe a couple of my other friends? Totally not expecting a crowd or anything, though.

[He thinks about that for a moment and then nods, leaning over to kiss the tip of the other boy's nose after making sure that nobody is watching them.]

[Poland blushes, glancing at the door to make sure they're alone. Having seen that yes, they are, he grows a little bold and steals a quick, chaste kiss.]
